Solving our Economy through the Arts

Solving our Economy through the Arts

We are seeking 2 Billion Dollars for a work of sculpture: The Petrocentric Interdisciplinary Polemic Economy Life-Inspired Neoliberal Ecostructure explores the relationship between Bauhausian sensibilities and midlife subcultures. With influences as diverse as Caravaggio and Joni Mitchell, new tensions are synthesised from both explicit and implicit textures.

The Petrocentric Interdisciplinary Polemic Economy Life-Inspired Neoliberal Ecostructure will be a 1600km hollow cylinder of metal, partially buried and partially exposed to the air that follows a path from traditional lands of the Chippewa to the traditional lands of the Coast Salish.

As the the Petrocentric Interdisciplinary Polemic Economy Life-Inspired Neoliberal Ecostructure interfaces with waterways, and at pre-established intervals, the sculptures will be marked with Varying Artistic Locomotive Voludeterminant Engines that move and shift, some remote controlled and some locally controlled.

The sculpture will be filled with the liquefied remains of animals (Organic In-ceased Life) that predate the existence of human civilization, but this Organic In-ceased Life will flow through the Petrocentric Interdisciplinary Polemic Economy Life-Inspired Neoliberal Ecostructure to the coast.

What starts out as triumph soon becomes corroded into a cacophony of greed, leaving only a sense of unreality and the dawn of a new understanding.

As wavering replicas become frozen through boundaried and critical practice, the viewer is left with a hymn to the darkness of our future.
